Scaffolder wanted in Greene County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a scaffolder in Greene County, Virginia. You will work at a shipyard. Day-to-day duties: • Install ladder access and ladder gates between the lifts • Fit guardrails, mid-rails and toe boards to every working platform • Handle, sort and stack tubes and fittings for loading out • Tighten right-angle and swivel couplers to torque with a podger spanner • Hoist tubes, boards and fittings up by gin wheel and rope • Lay scaffold boards and secure them with board retaining clips You should have: • Knowledge of safe loading, bracing and tie patterns • Good head for heights and comfortable on open platforms • Awareness of TG20 and SG4 safe working practice Six days a week, one day off.
