GMAW welder — Jackson County

Join our team: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Jackson County, Kentucky. You will work at a steel fabrication workshop. You will clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness. You should have: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Part-time with flexible hours.
