Now hiring: we are hiring a demolition labourer in Scott County, Kentucky. The job is on a road and bridge project. Requirements: • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio The role involves: • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns • Cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days 5+ years on the tools preferred. $27 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
