Offshore rigger — Nantucket County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Nantucket County, Massachusetts. You will be based at a container port. You will establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear. Ideal candidate: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
