Stitching operator — Washington County

Join our team: we are hiring a stitching operator in Washington County, Florida. The job is at a knitwear stitching unit. What we are looking for: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown On the job you will handle: • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift Full-time with occasional weekends.
