We are recruiting: we are hiring a kitchen steward in Middlesex County, Virginia. You will be based in a hotel kitchen. Ideal candidate: • Able to stand on your feet for long shifts • Previous experience in a busy commercial kitchen preferred • Punctual, reliable and hard-working On a typical shift you will wash chopping boards, knives and kitchen utensils; help unload deliveries and store stock in the dry store and cold room; hand-wash pots, pans and trays using the three-sink wash-rinse-sanitise method; clean, drain and descale the dish machine at the end of each shift; keep the dish pit tidy, dry and slip-free throughout service; scrape leftover food off plates and pre-rinse before loading.
