Offshore rigger — Lee County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Lee County, North Carolina. You will work at a container port. Day to day you will attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
