Single needle operator wanted in Starke County

Join our team: we are hiring a single needle operator in Starke County, Indiana. On the job you will handle: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers Ideal candidate: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Full-time, day shift.
