Bar bender and fixer — Grant County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Grant County, Oregon. The job is at a high-rise construction project. The role involves tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Pay around $3,900 per month, based on your experience.
