MIG welder — Lucas County

Join our team: we are hiring a MIG welder in Lucas County, Iowa. You will work on a structural steel site. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances Day to day you will check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
