Day-to-day duties: • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts What we are looking for: • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
