Brick and block layer wanted in Argyll and Bute

Join our team: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Argyll and Bute, Scotland. You will work on a scaffolded high-rise site. Day to day you will erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod. What we are looking for: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one 6+ years on the tools preferred.
