On a typical shift you will prime and seal bare metal to stop rust; bake panels in the spray booth oven to cure the paint; wipe down panels with degreaser and a tack cloth before spraying; mask off trim, glass and rubber seals with tape and paper; check the colour match under booth lights against the maker's swatch; blend new paint into adjacent panels for an invisible repair. Requirements: • Physically fit to stand, bend and crouch for long periods • Able to mix paint by weight on a scale Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
