Vacancy available: we are hiring a blocklayer in Henderson County, Texas. Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Day-to-day duties: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints 2+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $28 per hour, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
