Lathe operator • Socorro County, New Mexico

We are recruiting: we are hiring a lathe operator in Socorro County, New Mexico. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Able to stand for long hours on the shop floor On the job you will handle: • Load raw material and feed stock into the machine hopper • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges • Key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature • Top up coolant, lubricant and hydraulic oil levels • Report breakdowns to the maintenance fitter • Record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
