Ideal candidate: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Current medical and eyesight certificate On a typical shift you will hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines.
