CNC programmer-operator wanted in Santa Barbara County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a CNC programmer-operator in Santa Barbara County, California. The job is in a toolroom. Day-to-day duties: • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter What we are looking for: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Experience on Fanuc/Siemens CNC controls • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade Performance bonus on top of base pay.
