Immediate opening: we are hiring a blocklayer in Trinity County, Texas. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks The role involves buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
