Dogger — Johnson County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a dogger in Johnson County, Indiana. Day to day you will check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear. You should have: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Pay around $3,800 per month, based on your experience.
