Now hiring: we are hiring a rigger in Zangon Kataf, Kaduna State. You will be based on a high-rise building site. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Day-to-day duties: • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
