We are recruiting: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Newport County, Rhode Island. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. The role involves load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose. Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. $22 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
