Precision welder — Franklin County

Join our team: we are hiring a precision welder in Franklin County, New York. You will work on an industrial construction site. On the job you will handle: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
