We are recruiting: we are hiring a blocklayer in Hayes County, Nebraska. You should have: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Your main tasks: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
