Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Fayette County, Iowa. You will work on a structural steel site. Requirements: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage Day-to-day duties: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
