Gang bricklayer — Northampton County

Join our team: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Northampton County, Virginia. The role involves cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses. You should have: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
