Offshore rigger • Pender County, North Carolina

Vacancy available: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Pender County, North Carolina. You will work in a steel fabrication yard. Day to day you will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Full-time, day shift.
