Great opportunity: we are hiring a core maker in Andrew County, Missouri. Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch 2+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
