Sand plant operator • Montgomery County, Indiana

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Montgomery County, Indiana. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. You will carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle. You should have: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
