Vacancy available: bricklayer (Kansas)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a bricklayer in Saline County, Kansas. You will be based on a new-build development. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding On the job you will handle: • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
