Argon welder — Howard County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welder in Howard County, Texas. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. On a typical shift you will prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
