Sand plant operator wanted in Johnson County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Johnson County, Iowa. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. Day to day you will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes. What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
