Vacancy available: port container crane operator (Georgia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a port container crane operator in McIntosh County, Georgia. You will work at a container port and shipping yard. On the job you will handle: • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
