Immediate opening: we are hiring a punch press operator in Cherokee County, Iowa. What we are looking for: • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges The role involves top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways; deburr and stack finished components for the next operation; punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components; clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
