Requirements: • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine • Own basic hand tools (tape, square, screw gun) On a typical shift you will fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash; check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals; insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it; install finished windows and doors, pack and anchor-fix them, then foam and silicone the perimeter; rout lock and hardware pockets with the copy router; clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash.
