Immediate opening: site safety steward (Ogun State)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a site safety steward in Abeokuta South, Ogun State. The job is at a busy construction site. Requirements: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate Your main tasks: • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
