Metal caster — Delaware County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. Day to day you will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills We offer $4,500 per month plus benefits.
