Immediate opening: blocklayer (West Virginia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a blocklayer in Wyoming County, West Virginia. You will be based on a scaffolded high-rise site. Your main tasks: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $4,400 per month plus benefits. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
