Great opportunity: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Dakota County, Minnesota. You will work at a brass and bronze foundry. The role involves tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards 6+ years on the tools preferred.
