Requirements: • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work Day-to-day duties: • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway 3+ years on the tools preferred.
