Great opportunity: we are hiring a hoist operator in Akoko South West, Ondo State. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. What we are looking for: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Understanding of hand and radio signals Day to day you will work out the load weight and the lifting radius; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone.
