Now hiring: we are hiring a blocklayer in Gagarawa, Jigawa State. The job is at a renovation and extension job. You should have: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Your main tasks: • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters 3+ years on the tools preferred.
