Earthmoving equipment operator — Franklin County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an earthmoving equipment operator in Franklin County, Maine. You will be based at an open-cast mine. On a typical shift you will clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin; operate crawler dozers to push and spread fill across the site; form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle; carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil; rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank; cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes. Requirements: • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Willing to work on remote sites and rotating rosters • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
