Furnace operator — Garden County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a furnace operator in Garden County, Nebraska. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Day to day you will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around $4,300 per month, based on your experience.
