Now hiring: we are hiring a general labourer in Suffolk County, New York. You will work on a residential housing site. You will pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; backfill and ram down soil around the foundations; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage. What we are looking for: • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio Rotating shifts.
