Shakeout operator — McKenzie County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in McKenzie County, North Dakota. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. You will shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Full-time, day shift.
