Immediate opening: we are hiring a plant operator in Linn County, Kansas. You will be based at an injection moulding unit. Your main tasks: • Set up and start the machine as per the job card • Carry out daily clean-down and 5S of the work station • Load raw material and feed stock into the machine hopper • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges • Change tooling, dies and moulds during product changeovers • Clear jams and remove rejected parts from the line You should have: • Knowledge of lockout-tagout and machine safety • Able to read job cards and basic engineering drawings • Able to stand for long hours on the shop floor Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
