Steam press operator — Eureka County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steam press operator in Eureka County, Nevada. The job is in a busy laundry. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets The role involves: • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Give each garment a final press before packing • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board Rotating shifts.
