Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Wasco County, Oregon. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Own basic hand tools and PPE Your main tasks: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions 1+ years on the tools preferred.
