Join our team: we are hiring a pastry baker in Jersey County, Illinois. You will be based at a busy bakery. Day to day you will grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds; boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing; decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter. You should have: • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
