Gantry crane operator — Leslie County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Leslie County, Kentucky. The job is in a warehouse fitted with overhead cranes. Day to day you will fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); work out the load weight and the lifting radius; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams. You should have: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • A good head for heights for tower crane work 2+ years on the tools preferred.
